York County Trail Plan

Letters of Interest Requested from Consultants

York County Rail Trail Authority and its key partners, York County Planning Commission and York County Department of Parks and Recreation, are currently seeking letters of interest from consulting firms to assist in the creation of a York County Trail Plan. The purpose of the Plan is two-fold: (1) to create a coordinated planning and decision-making process for future trail development in York County and (2) to offer a vision and strategy for future trail development in York County.

This project is partially funded by a grant from the Community Conservation Partnership Program administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Bureau of Recreation and Conservation. Additional funding is provided by the York County Inter-governmental Cooperation Grant Program and Codorus Watershed Endowment Fund of York County Community Foundation.

We invite you to submit a brief letter of interest, maximum of three pages standard type and spacing. Your letter should include your agency’s contact information and identification of key personnel who may be assigned to this project along with their qualifications and experience. Additionally, we would ask that you cite one or two examples of recently completed plans.

Letters of interest must be posted by mail or email on or before September 24, 2009.
