When you think of the Heritage Rail Trail, generally you think of a pleasant place to have an afternoon bike ride with the family, or a morning run, or just a quiet place to enjoy nature and take a walk. People on the trail are enjoying the moment and, as members of the Rail Trail Authority like to say, “It becomes the friendliest place in York County.” Often, however, we don’t think about another value of the Rail Trail System in York County—that trails connect people with places and those places with other places.
