Heritage Rail Trail County Park

Heritage Rail Trail County Park extends more than twenty-one miles, this park winds through scenic areas of southern York County.

The ADA trail is a 10-foot wide compacted stone surface designed for hiking, bicycling, running, horseback riding, as well as winter sports such as crosscountry skiing and snow shoeing.
 

Hanover Trolley Trail

In the early 1900s, the trolley lines of the York Railway Company served the needs of many county residents for both business and leisure travel. Weekday routes served daily commuters, while weekends featured special cars to picnic groves, churches and shops.

YCRTA Current Projects

Gettysburg to Hanover Trail Feasibility Study

The trail will connect Gettysburg in Adams County with Hanover in York County. Passing by rolling farmland, the trail will provide access to Adams County and its rich historic resources and landscape.

York County Trail Plan

The York County Trail Plan will provide a coordinated approach to trail development that insures responsible use of public and private resources, maximizes the benefits to the public, and highlights the varied landscape of York County’s communities and open spaces.
