Carl R. Knoch, Chairman

Carl joined the Authority in 1998 and assumed
the position of chairman in 2000. In addition
to being a long-time user of the Heritage Rail
Trail and the Maryland NCR Trail, Carl has served
on the Transition Committee and has provided invaluable
assistance to the Rail Trail Authority and the
York County Parks Department in the development
of user surveys and economic impact analysis.
Carl is the president of Interactive Marketing
Solutions, Inc. He resides in New Freedom, PA.
where he is active in the Shrewsbury Township
Planning Commission.

Don Gogniat, Vice-Chairman
|

|
Don joined the Authority in 2001 having followed
the development of the Heritage Rail Trail from
the Maryland line to York. Don served for many years as Campus
Executive Officer for the Pennsylvania State University,
York campus. He is current Director of International Programs for the Commonwealth College of Penn State and an instructor at the Penn State Mt. Alto Campus. A long-time user of the
Heritage Rail Trail and supporter of trails
throughout the state, Don also serves on the Rail
Trail / Greenway Future Planning Committee of
the Authority. Don resides in York, PA.

Glenn R. Eyster, Jr., Treasurer
|

|
Glenn, an avid supporter of the York County Parks
Department and rail trail development projects,
joined the Authority in 2001. Glenn is the owner
of Eysters Machine & Wire Products in Seven
Valleys, PA. Glenn serves the Authority as treasurer
and chairman of the Administrative Committee.
He resides in Seven Valleys, PA.

Ed Hughes, Secretary

As owner of the Whistle Stop Bike Shop in New
Freedom, PA, Ed has seen the Heritage Rail Trail
County Park develop from its inception in the
early 1990's. He began serving as secretary of
the Authority in 1994, and has served on such
committees as the Planning Committee, Owners and
Operators Committee, Hanover Junction Restoration
Committee, and Heritage Committee. In addition
to being an avid bicyclist, Ed has a keen interest
in railroads.

Henry Herrman

Henry has been with the Authority since its beginning
in 1990, serving primarily as chairman of the
Owners and Operators Committee. He has brought
to the Authority a tremendous amount of railroad
knowledge. Even with his extensive community involvement
that includes chairman of the Red Lion Municipal
Authority, fire fighter, and trustee of St. Paul
UM Church, Henry still finds time for his favorite
pastime: riding the rails by motor car. Henry
resides in Red Lion, PA.

Dwight Robison, Jr.
|

|
Rob was appointed to the Authority
in January of 2002. He currently serves on the
York Hanover Trolley Line Trail Committee and
the Consultant Selection Committee. Rob
has served as a Penn Township police officer for
23 years, and with his family he is an active
member of the Hanover Cyclers Bicycle Club. He
is also a member of the International Police Mountain
Bike Association. He resides in Hanover, PA.

Heidi Hormel

Heidi was appointed to the Authority in May 2007.
As a long-time resident of Hanover Borough, Heidi serves
on Borough Council where she chairs the borough’s Traffic/Planning
Committee. Heidi’s community service as a member of the advisory
boards for the Hanover YWCA and Hanover Community Players demonstrates
her commitment to agencies and projects that aim to benefit the qualify of life of
Hanover and York County residents. Heidi is self-employed with H.J. Hormel Writing &
Editorial Services of Hanover.

Mack Johnson

|
Mack joined the Authority in May 2002. He served as a non-voting
representative for the County of York, until his appointment in April
2003 as a voting member of the Rail Trail Authority. Mack brings to
the Authority approximately 30 years of experience in management in both
the public and private sectors, and he is an avid proponent of Rails-to-Trails.

Pamela Gay
|

|
Pam was appointed to the Authority in April 2004 to serve as a representative
to the York County Board of Commissioners. She is a legal nurse consultant
with Susquehanna Valley Medical-Legal Consulting. Her extensive experience
in the health/medical field combine with an avid interest in local politics
and community issues to provide the expertise required of this liaison position.

Jonathan Pinkerton

|
Jonathan was appointed to the Authority in April 2004. He is the Program Director
for the Lancaster-York Heritage Region. Jonathan previously served as a Long-Range
Planner for the York County Planning Commission, where he worked on the county’s
Open Space Plan and demonstrated a commitment to greenways and trails. He resides
in Spring Garden Township.
