Our work is made possible by contributors like you.

Our 2017 year-end campaign, with the theme “Oh the sights you’ll see!” is now in full swing. We ask that you consider the natural beauty that is enjoyed year round by visitors of all ages and ability levels when they visit the Heritage Rail Trail, its Northern Extension, and the Hanover Trolley Trail. Then make your tax-deductible contribution before December 31st in support of rail trail projects that bring residents and visitors to these wonderful sights.

Your gift:

  • Stays in York County. Our trail development projects are located from New Freedom to Emigsville, West York to Hanover, and many York County communities in between.
  • Introduces residents and visitors to spectacular York County scenery. From soaring bald eagles to docile cows, eclectic outdoor sculptures to rippling streams…“Oh the sights you’ll see!”
  • Reaches all ages and ability levels. Our trail development projects offer gentle surfaces, minimal grades, and a traffic-free environment for walkers, joggers, cyclists and nature lovers – young and not so young, elite athletes and not so elite – improving physical and mental well-being through exercise.

“York County is fortunate to have our rail trail system. Its natural beauty and multiple recreational opportunities improve the quality of life of our residents.”
-York County Commissioner Doug Hoke
