YCRTA Seeks New Member

Bring happiness, health, and economic vitality to York County
through service on the York County Rail Trail Authority.

Are you an avid user and advocate of rail trails? Do you want to make a difference in York County’s active recreational opportunities? If so, we’d like to hear from you!

York County Rail Trail Authority is currently seeking candidates to fill an opening for a voting member on the Authority, effective November 2020, for a term of 5-years. In addition, a second opening is expected in early 2021. The Authority seeks an individual who is committed to the development of rail trails and wants to become actively involved in a variety of community-based initiatives that lend support to the planning, engineering, and construction of new rail trails.

The Authority meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM at its offices, Hanover Junction Train Station, 2433 Seven Valleys Rd, Seven Valleys, PA 17360. * In addition to meeting attendance, Authority members are asked to serve on committees of the Authority and to lend their time and expertise to represent the Authority at various community events.

The successful candidate(s) will be recommended for appointment by the Board of Commissioners effective late 2020 or early 2021.
