York County Rail Trail Authority is currently seeking candidates to fill one volunteer position on the Authority, effective during the first quarter of 2021 for a term of five years.
In the coming months and years, the Authority is focusing efforts on further development of the Hanover Trolley Trail along the MetEd electric utility corridor that connects Hanover to York and along a newly acquired dormant rail line. The Authority seeks an individual who wants to actively participate in this exciting project that will bring greater recreational, health, and economic benefits to the Hanover community.
The Authority meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM at its offices, Hanover Junction Train Station, 2433 Seven Valleys Rd, Seven Valleys, PA 17360. * In addition to meeting attendance, Authority members are asked to serve on committees of the Authority and to lend their time and expertise to represent the Authority at various community events.
The successful candidate will be recommended for appointment by the Board of Commissioners during the first quarter of 2021.
